Organisations in the Housing Sector need to find out about a range of issues, to name just a few:

  • How happy or unhappy employees are ...
  • How satisfied residents are with services ...
  • How useful training events are ...
  • Which venue to select for the next staff event
Many of the above issues can be researched using your in-house expertise and some experience in creating questionnaires. But often in-house solutions are slow and complicated, partly because they are often too focused on the traditional paper-based methods of data collection and manual analysis and reporting. In today's world where completing surveys is not the most popular activity - during work or leisure time - organsations need approaches that are more straight-forward and effective, for those managaging the survey and those who take part.

A range of very cost-effective, easy-to use online survey tools now exist that can enable Housing Sector organisations to create and run surveys with much more ease, saving time and energy whilst producing quality results and reports.

After the workshop you will be able to carry out your own online survey project - or guide colleagues how to do it.

Who should take part?

Anybody who is involved in managing surveys and small-scale research.

When can I start and how long will it take?

We are running this workshop on a 'rolling intake' basis. This means you can join any time after we receive your booking (plus purchase order from your organisation; or confirmation from your manager or HR department).

The course is based on the 'content + support' model, which means we provide content via our Virtual Learning Centre PLUS tutor-support. You can work through the material at your own convenience. We would recommend to spread your learning over 2 working weeks, and on average participants should budget for about 4-5 hours of time overall (online and offline) to complete the workshop. During your participation you will be supported by a specialist tutor, and depending on how many other people are taking part in the course at the same time, there will also be the opportunity for peer-discussions and collaboration.

What are the costs?
