How you can turn the Social Housing Compass into one of your Russian Dolls After the successful delivery of our first two open-access Social Housing Compass courses, we are now delighted to announce that we will soon be offering the course material as a self-paced e-learning product for internal delivery in Housing associations - whenever the need arises and as part of their existing training and induction courses. For a one-time licence fee, organisations will be able to buy the content material of the course for delivery to employees who need an Introduction to Social Housing. The fee will include a number of consulting hours to help organisations deploy the content within their own training and IT structure, or to use the LearnHousing Virtual Training Centre. Additional services, like induction for managers and internal trainers in using, customising and delivering the content of the course, or external tutor-support, will be provided too. For further information please see our information page. What participants in the first two courses had to say: "It was a good course and now I know a lot more. I liked that you could talk and say about things you are unsure of and an answer would be returned asap and not everyone had to know that you could not do something. I like the fact that you could go at your own pace." Resident Involvement Officer "Interesting and accessible, which meant I could fit it into my day to day work." Tenant Services Officer "I would compliment you on the course. For someone new to internet learning it is simplicity itself. I have learnt comprehensively on housing, but also about the key matter of where to look etc... Brilliant." Manager |
Booktip for Managers and HR Professionals: Making Coaching Work: Creating a Coaching Culture According to a new book most employers (99%) believe coaching can deliver tangible benefits to both individuals and organisations and 88% now expect their line managers to deliver coaching as part of their day-to-day work. However, 17% do not think that line managers are effective coaches. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has published a new book that addresses the role of line managers in coaching and suggests how employers can get their buy-in and create a culture within their organisation to make it work.
