The main objective of the course is to provide direction to participants. In addition to receiving key basic information, they will also learn how to develop their own roadmap for future information quests, social housing explorations, and continuous learning beyond the duration of the course.
There will be guidance for: getting 'hands-on' experience in using existing information resources more effectively; connecting with professional networks and interest groups; developing action plans for further learning.

LearnHousing is currently working with a range of consultants & trainers to develop learning events, but they are not the only ones with knowledge to share. Often, the most knowledgeable people, and those most 'in tune' with what is happening on the ground, are the practitioners themselves.
This is why LearnHousing is looking to work with practitioners like you to develop learning events. If you decide to collaborate with us it would benefit you and your organisation.
Wasted Knowledge
There are plenty of attempts to disseminate 'good' or even 'best practice', but let's be honest - who has time to fit in another piece of heavy reading? However, shying away from 'best practice' creates its own problem - ignorance of the most effective solutions to problems that all of us face daily.
Shared Knowledge
LearnHousing wants to break the bad habit of wasting knowledge and expertise. We do this by connecting practitioners more effecitvely, for the purpose of learning from each other. Instead of making practitioners waste their time writing down information that only ends on a shelf, we use the online format, and other modern methods, to facilitate communication and active learning.
